Job type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: Starting at €14.15 per hour (national minimum wage), with structured pay progression based on skills, performance and responsibility.

Love Technology? Build a Career Doing Something You Enjoy.

At Creative IT, we're looking for someone who's smart, motivated, organised and genuinely interested in technology.

You don't need previous professional IT experience. We'll provide the training.

Whether you're a self-taught computer enthusiast, a recent school leaver, someone who's always fixing technology for friends and family, or simply someone looking to start a career in IT, we'd love to hear from you.

We're not necessarily looking for the person with the most impressive CV. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, the ability to learn quickly and the drive to become excellent at what they do.

What You'll Be Doing

Creative IT is a busy technology business providing computer and device repairs, retail sales and professional IT support services.

Your role will be varied, and you'll develop skills across four key areas:

1. Technical Repairs & Diagnostics

  • Assess laptops, desktops, phones and other electronic devices.
  • Learn to diagnose hardware and software faults.
  • Carry out repairs and upgrades as your skills develop.
  • Follow technical procedures and use diagnostic tools.
  • Test devices and ensure work is completed to a high standard.

2. Sales & Customer Service

  • Help customers choose the right technology products and services.
  • Explain technical issues clearly and confidently.
  • Prepare quotations and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Develop professional sales and communication skills.
  • Deliver an excellent customer experience.

3. Administration & Operations

  • Manage repair tickets, customer information and job updates.
  • Use our internal systems to organise and manage work.
  • Process orders and maintain accurate records.
  • Prioritise tasks and keep work moving efficiently.
  • Follow established processes and take ownership of your responsibilities.

4. IT Support

  • Troubleshoot Windows, software and connectivity issues.
  • Install and configure computers and applications.
  • Develop knowledge of networking, Microsoft 365 and IT systems.
  • Learn the fundamentals of professional IT support.
  • Gain opportunities to develop more advanced technical skills.

Who We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in people who:

  • Learn quickly and can apply what they've learned.
  • Are naturally good with technology, even without qualifications.
  • Show initiative and can work things out independently.
  • Are excellent problem-solvers who enjoy a challenge.
  • Are organised and detail-oriented and can follow processes accurately.
  • Communicate well and are comfortable dealing with customers.
  • Take ownership of their work and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Are ambitious and genuinely want to develop their abilities and career.
  • Can work in a busy environment where priorities change throughout the day.

You don't need to know everything on day one. But you do need to be curious, motivated and willing to learn.

What We Offer

Full Training
We've developed our own structured induction and training programme, supported by documented processes and technology systems, to help new employees become productive and confident.

Career Development
You'll have opportunities to develop in several directions depending on your strengths and interests:

  • Sales & Customer Service
  • Computer & Electronics Repairs
  • Administration & Operations
  • IT Support & Managed IT Services

Structured Pay Progression
We believe people should be rewarded as their skills, performance and responsibilities grow. Your salary can progress as you demonstrate competency and take on more advanced work.

Real Experience
This isn't a classroom course. You'll learn by working with real technology, solving real problems and receiving guidance from experienced colleagues.

Long-Term Opportunities
We're looking for someone who wants to build a career, not just fill a temporary position.

Our Recruitment Process

We believe that someone's ability to learn and solve problems tells us more than a CV alone.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to complete a practical, supervised assessment at our Mullingar premises.

This may involve working through parts of our structured induction programme, following technical instructions and completing basic diagnostic exercises.

You won't be expected to know everything in advance. We're interested in how you learn, think, follow instructions and approach new challenges.

Interested?

If you're passionate about technology, enjoy solving problems and want an opportunity to build a career with real progression, we'd love to hear from you.

Experience is welcome. Potential is essential.

Apply through Indeed and tell us a little about your interest in technology and why you'd be a good fit for Creative IT.

Pay: From €14.15 per hour

Benefits:

  • On-site parking

Application question(s):

  • Tell us about something techy you've fixed, built or figured out yourself (a few lines is plenty).

  • English (required)
