India hosts a large share of SoftwareOne's distributed global IT & Solutions organization (IT&S). As our new India Hub Lead, you will act as the senior local anchor for the India IT&S hub, ensuring strong on-the-ground leadership, consistent governance, and a positive employee experience within a global operating model. You will support globally distributed managers with India-based teams and help translate global priorities into effective local execution.
Rather than direct line management, the role relies on influence, coaching, and alignment across teams. You will play a key role in enhancing the employee experience and strengthening the strategic positioning of the India hub within the broader organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic hub development: Help position India as a scalable strategic IT&S hub and partner on workforce planning, capability development, and talent attraction
  • Local leadership and culture: Act as the visible local leader for the India IT&S hub, strengthening engagement, belonging, and site-wide community
  • Leader support: Coach and advise managers with India-based employees on local context, employee topics, and consistent leadership practices
  • Governance and compliance: Ensure India-specific legal, P&C (in collaboration with the local and global P&C), and workplace requirements are understood and consistently applied
  • People decision consistency: Support decisions on compensation, promotions, hiring, and exits to ensure fair and locally aligned outcomes (in collaboration with the local and global P&C)
  • Communication and alignment: Connect global leadership with India-based teams and support local adoption of global initiatives


What we need to see from you


  • Experience working as a senior leader in a global IT or technology organization (e.g. CIO organization)
  • Strong understanding of India employment context, culture, and operating environment
  • Proven ability to influence, coach, and collaborate with stakeholders without formal authority
  • Pragmatic, structured, collaborative, and able to balance global standards with local needs
