R. Sabee Company, a well-established growing company centered in the heart of Appleton is searching for a Janitorial candidate to join the team!

The Janitorial role is responsible for assessing the building facilities and understanding the critical areas to clean and maintain inside and out. This person would also be responsible for providing support on entry level projects as needed.

This position will work Monday – Friday, 1st shift hours.

• ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain a positive attitude and help drive continuous improvement through team involvement. Sweep and wet mop floors
• Cleans buildings by emptying trash, cleaning windows and walls, vacuuming and spot cleans carpets.
• Cleans and services restrooms. Maintains restroom supplies.
• Mixes various chemicals following safety guidelines.
• Maintains custodial supplies and equipment.
• Follow building security and safety procedures by performing such tasks as locking doors after hours.
• Maintain a safe environment by keeping floor dry and free of debris, which can cause falls.
• Walk the exterior of the building every day to make sure that sidewalks, landscaping, entryways and parking lots are free of debris.
• Monitor the garbage and recycling areas on campus.
• Clean windows remove cobwebs and remove snow and/ice during the winter.
• Strip, wax and buff floors. Clean carpets. Sanitize kitchen and lavatory facilities.
• Ensure a “white glove” standard of presentation in all the office and common areas.
• Perform proper safety practices utilizing personal protection equipment when handling hazardous materials, chemicals and body substances.
• Exhibit proper infection control techniques always.
• Report all community maintenance repairs needed to maintain compliance.
• Additional Duties as assigned

SAFETYUPKEEP OF EQUIPMENT AND AREAPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Always wear personal protection equipment (PPE): safety eyewear, steel-toed shoes and hearing protection.
• Inspect the work area at the start of your shift and during your shift to see that required safety equipment is in place and operational.
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Understand and follow the Safety rules, policies and procedures that have been defined for the area and equipment.
• Understand and follow the proper procedure for handling any chemicals in the area and hazardous materials.
• Know where to locate the fire extinguishers, safety kits, and exits.
• Report all safety concerns and/or accidents to the supervisor or first aid representative immediately – no matter how minor.
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly defined work area.
• Support the continuous improvement of work place organizational methods
• Keep your tools, work area, and equipment clean and in excellent working order. Notify your area supervisor/manager of anything in need of repair or replacement.
• Keep supplies, materials, tools, and equipment in their proper places.
• Help maintain a “clean room” type of environment.
• Able to routinely lift items of 40 lbs.
• It will be critical that the employee be able tolerate changes in environmental temperatures.
• Able to climb on rung and step type ladders.
• Crawling in and out of work stations that are not considered confined or enclosed
• Able to wear the required PPE.
• Must be able to interact and read computer screens for extended period of times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
