Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Threat Finance Analyst to support the United States Forces Korea (USFK), Assistant Chief of Staff, J2 (ACofS, J2) JIOC-K in their mission to provide timely intelligence to Commander, USFK and Combined Forces Command, the combined battle staff, and war fighter component commanders!


The JIOC-K's efforts focus on detecting enemy threats, managing intelligence, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) activities, analyzing enemy actions and information to determine enemy's probable courses of action.


The overall analytic effort strengthens Defense Intelligence and provides relevant, timely, objective, and cogent all source Defense Intelligence to the Commander and other users, and transforming theater intelligence activities to better leverage the capabilities of the theater and global intelligence communities and safeguard United States personnel and interests within the Korea Theater of Operations (KTO). What you will do

  • Performs all-source analytical production on Threat Finance (e.g. Revenue Generation analysis) and designates needs for collection activities primarily supporting operational and tactical intelligence priorities and response to threat finance military operations
  • Conducts all-source forensic accounting analysis and production, fusing financial/transactional data from banking systems, financial reports, and other forms of reporting
  • Analyzes specific foreign financial activities including threat financiers, facilitators, and financial networks/operations associated with, but not limited to counterintelligence, insurgency, proliferation, and operational activity which threatens U.S. national security interests
  • Aggregates and fuses multi-modal transactional data and identity
  • Maps and performs analysis of financial data from banking systems, financial reports, and other formal and informal transfer means
  • Understands payment relationships, revenue-generation, and money-laundering methods
  • Applies statistical techniques including flows analysis, visualization, and geospatial analysis tools to bulk and raw transactional data
  • Applies pattern analysis to large data sets
  • Applies intelligence collection requirements, essential elements of information, priority intelligence requirements, and search terms to DOMEX triage processes
  • Applies data engineering to interface with structured data and data forensics tools
  • Conducts all-source analysis, principally focused on financial activities and economic factors, that aid adversary support for development of weapons system, missile systems, and WMD
  • Facilitates updates of data for entry and retrieval in support of coordinated prioritization of community efforts and maintenance to correct USFK/J2 identified order-of-battle (OOB) systems and correction of MIDB/MARS deficiencies
  • Collaborates with INDOPACOM, Services, IC and DIA production personnel to coordinate and synchronize all-source threat OOB production for foundational intelligence within subject-matter-expertise (SME) areas
  • Serves as SME on intelligence related conferences, meetings, exercises, and working groups
  • Tracks and coordinates intelligence production requirements
  • Processes, analyzes, and consolidates Requests for Information (RFI)
  • Possesses understanding of data set and how to use Government provided access to CNWDI and RD data sources in support of threat finance analysis
  • Additional duties as assigned or required

What we are looking for

  • 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience
  • Able to surge support during 2 exercises per year
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance, with the continued ability to obtain a Poly

Bonus points for...

  • Bachelors with 8 years of experience preferred
  • Recent applicable experience within the last 2 years also preferred
  • Intelligence experience and/or operation support in Korea or other active theaters
  • Experience with the bi-lateral (ROK-US) Korean environment
  • Familiar with the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA)

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
