Nepean Hospital is seeking a highly organised and detail‑focused JMO Rostering Officer to join our Medical Workforce team. This role plays a critical part in supporting safe, efficient medical service delivery by ensuring Junior Medical Officer rosters are accurate, compliant and effectively managed.

The JMO Rostering Officer is responsible for all administration and management of accurate rosters and data in HealthRoster, including the ongoing monitoring of ADOs and leave balances. Working closely with JMOs, clinical departments and senior medical workforce staff, you will coordinate roster changes, process leave requests, manage on‑call and relief arrangements, and ensure roster compliance with industrial awards and policies.

What you will bring to the role
  • Demonstrated successful customer focus with the ability to build and maintain rapport with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to interact professionally with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated level of competence and experience in the use of Stafflink and Health Roster or Romulus
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues of relevance, sensitivity and confidentiality, to interpret information and advice and use discretion to identify when to escalate matters
  • Superior time management skills with the ability to successfully prioritise and organise daily work routine
  • High level analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to research information to resolve or escalate matters as they arise
