Shawarma Mesteren is an authentic street-food restaurant in the heart of Aarhus, dedicated to delivering fresh and flavorful Middle Eastern cuisine. With a small but passionate team, we offer casual dining with high culinary standards and personal service.

We are looking for a talented and committed Chef/Cook to join our team. You will play a key role in preparing dishes, ensuring quality and consistency, and contributing to a dynamic kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of warm and cold dishes (shawarma, salads, sauces, accompaniments) according to established recipes and standards

• Manage mise en place to ensure efficient service during peak times

• Maintain high levels of food safety and hygiene at all times

• Assist with inventory management and kitchen stock control

• Contribute ideas for new dishes or process improvements

• Collaborate smoothly with both kitchen and service staff
  

Requirements:

• Professional cooking experience, preferably within a busy restaurant or fast-paced kitchen

• Passion for Middle Eastern cuisine or similar

• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain quality under pressure

• Team player with positive work attitude

• Proficiency in English; Danish is an advantage
