Joiner/Carpenter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to fabricate and assemble various structures and components. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. The Joiner will be responsible for working on diverse projects, including roofing, masonry, and electrical installations.

Duties

• Assemble and install wooden structures, including frameworks, doors, windows, and furniture.
• Fabricate components according to specifications and design plans.
• Perform roofing tasks, ensuring proper installation and maintenance of roofing materials.
• Carry out masonry work as needed, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
• Execute electrical tasks related to joinery projects, adhering to safety standards.
• Conduct painting and finishing work to enhance the appearance of completed projects.
• Ensure all work is plumb and level, maintaining high standards of accuracy.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, reporting any issues promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar role within the construction industry is essential.
• Strong skills in carpentry, joinery techniques, and fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with roofing systems and masonry practices is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during construction activities.
• Experience with electrical installations related to joinery is desirable but not mandatory.
• Proficient in painting techniques and finishing methods to achieve high-quality results.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering exceptional craftsmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: £20.16-£21.06 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• Joinery: 1 year (preferred)
• Carpentry: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• CSCS (required)
• Driving Licence (preferred)
