Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various carpentry tasks and possess a keen eye for detail to deliver high-quality workmanship including mostly finishing and some rough carpentry like back framing for example.

Core Responsibilities

-Installation of doors, drywall, baseboards, casing, flooring, framing, millwork, back framing etc.
- Execute carpentry projects including but not limited to flooring installation, concrete forming, drywall work, and caulking.
- Interpret schematics and blueprints to plan and execute projects accurately.
- Perform restoration work on existing structures.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.

Key Skills:

- Establishing building procedures and preparing work sites

- Lays out, constructs and installs formwork and foundations

- Frames floors, walls, ceilings and roofs

- Finishes interiors and exteriors

- Constructs heavy framing

- Builds stairs, posts and handrails

- Lays out, constructs and installs door and window systems

- Working with all trades to help prioritize daily work

- Assist project managers with organizing and scheduling projects

- Consistently and constantly communicate with project managers

- Effectively communicate with clients, inspectors, professionals, neighbours and the general public

- Enforce and practice safety procedures in the workplace

- Perform quality, efficient, and cost effective work

- Establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision

- Ensure standards for quality are achieved at all times

- Representing the company in a professional manner at all times

- Consistently show up for work.

- Offer flexibility as other duties as may be assigned to you

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$55.00 per hour

• Carpentry: 5 years (required)
• Blueprint reading: 5 years (required)
• Hand tools: 5 years (required)
