Position: Ironworker

We are seeking highly skilled Ironworkers with welding & rigging experience to join our Richmond area team. Candidates must be experienced in various job environments and capable of handling structural ironwork in demanding field conditions, including new construction and industrial environments. Candidates should be committed to quality craftsmanship while maintaining a focus on safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, bolt up and weld structural steel components
  • Install decking, bar joist, bridging, stairs, ladders, railings and other structural components
  • Perform cutting, burning, grinding and other "hot work" task as required for fit-up and fabrication
  • Read and accurately interpret blueprints and construction drawings
  • Understand proper rigging/hoisting and proper crane signaling procedures
  • Layout and fabricate steel structures with precision
  • Follow all job site safety protocols and OSHA standards
  • Operate equipment and tools safely and effectively
  • Work in varied environments including heights and confined spaces
  • Adhere to building codes and safety standards during all construction activities
  • Conduct daily inspections of tools, gear, and fall protection equipment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an Ironworker
  • Welding experience required (certifications preferred)
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment handling skills
  • Ability to perform basic construction math and take accurate measurements
  • Willingness to work in industrial, commercial, new construction and shop environments
  • Committed to safety and union standards

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay: $25.20/hour-$31.50/hour during 6 month probationary period
  • Job Type: Full-time
