Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Truck & Transport Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, mechanical repairs, and industrial maintenance. This role involves maintaining, inspecting and repairing various types of transportation equipment to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on transportation vehicles equipment
• Conduct inspections using schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools effectively
• Assist with assembly, disassembly, and installation of mechanical components
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical failures.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Address client needs professionally and efficiently
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for all team members

Requirements

• Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes
• Strong electrical and mechanical skills with the ability to perform complex repairs
• Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred
• Prior experience working with heavy or industrial equipment is highly desirable
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.00-$40.00 per hour
