We are seeking a Junior AI Developer to join our AI, Data Science & Online Analytics Team in a full-time, one-year fixed-term role.

Our team delivers AI-driven analytics and intelligent automation solutions across Posti’s logistics and digital services - including mail, parcels, warehousing, and freight.

In this role, you will contribute to real AI projects that support our operations and customers. Your work may involve building predictive models, experimenting with Generative AI and large language models, optimizing logistics through machine learning, or developing intelligent decision-support systems.

This is a unique opportunity to see how a large international delivery and fulfillment company applies AI on a scale - powered by massive datasets, a modern tech stack, and strong mentorship.

Key responsibilities:

• Explore and analyze large datasets from real operational systems.
• Develop and evaluate AI and machine learning models, including LLM-based and predictive models.
• Prototype, test, and deploy solutions using modern MLOps and development practices.
• Work alongside data scientists, ML engineers, and business specialists.
• Share your results and insights with stakeholders and our data community.

To succeed in this position, we hope that you have:

• Curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and passion for AI & data.
• Recently graduated or final-year studies in data-related fields (e.g., computer science, statistics, physics, mathematics, economics).
• Interest or experience in machine learning & data analysis, python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, etc.), generative AI or LLM frameworks (Hugging Face, prompt engineering, RAG) - a plus, not required, SQL and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Databricks, Spark/PySpark, Sagemaker) & data visualization and communication.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Finnish language skills.
