About the Role

We’re looking for a curious, analytical and motivated Junior Analyst – Medical Risk Intelligence to join our growing team at Healix International.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career who is interested in global health, medical risk, and intelligence-led decision making. You’ll help deliver timely, accurate medical risk information to clients worldwide — from disease outbreaks and pandemics to healthcare provider logistics and country-level medical risk insights.

Working alongside experienced analysts and medical specialists, you’ll support the monitoring of emerging global health trends, maintain medical intelligence records, and contribute to reports and client responses that directly support people travelling, working and operating globally.

Who We’re Looking For

This role is ideal for someone with a strong academic foundation and a genuine interest in global health, medical risk and analysis, who is keen to learn and develop in a professional intelligence environment.

You’ll bring:

  • An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in International Relations, Politics, Global Health, Public Health, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Academic, internship or early-career exposure to global health, medical intelligence, travel health or international assistance.
  • A strong interest in research, data collection and analytical problem-solving.
  • The ability to learn and apply medical risk concepts with guidance and support.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and openness to learning new tools and systems.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present information concisely and professionally.
  • A collaborative, organised and resilient approach to managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

Our Values

At Healix International, our values guide everything we do:

  • Put people first – prioritising care and wellbeing in every decision.
  • Think independently – using judgement and integrity, even in complex situations.
  • Earn trust – through transparency, respect and reliability.

You’ll also demonstrate our core competencies of Accountability, Collaboration, Communication, Problem Solving and Resilience as part of your development.

Why Join Healix?

  • A supportive environment to build your career in medical risk and intelligence.
  • Exposure to real-world, global health and medical risk issues.
  • Training, coaching and development from experienced analysts and medical professionals.
  • The opportunity to contribute meaningful insight that supports clients during critical situations.
  • A values-driven, global organisation with strong collaboration and learning culture.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate, up‑to‑date medical risk information within Healix systems and platforms.
  • Help ensure medical content across Healix platforms (including Travel Safe, Sentinel and Travel Oracle) reflects current global risk environments.
  • Respond to basic internal and external medical enquiries (e.g. outbreaks, pandemics, location-specific risks), escalating complex queries as needed.
  • Support responses to client requests for provider information and assist in compiling provider-related reports.
  • Contribute to the drafting of medical risk reports, including:

    • Country travel advice reports

    • Pre-deployment medical assessments
    • Medical Emergency Response Plans (MERPs)
  • Work with colleagues across Medical Risk Intelligence, Global Intelligence and Operations to align intelligence output with client support.
  • Provide timely updates to internal platforms during crises or ongoing medical events, under supervision.
  • Engage with wider Healix teams including Medical, Projects and Business Development to support cross-functional initiatives.
