Description
Junior Associate, Centrelink
Who we are
At Coastal Advisory Australia, we help Australians achieve financial confidence through trusted advice, meaningful relationships and long-term thinking.
We’re a growing national advice business, bringing together the expertise and resources of a larger organisation with the personalised service of local advice teams. As we continue to grow, we’re also creating new opportunities for our people to develop, specialise and build rewarding careers.
The opportunity
Do you have experience in financial planning, Centrelink or client administration and want to develop a specialist skill set?
We’re looking for a Junior Associate to join our Centrelink team and support clients and advisers with Centrelink applications, administration and ongoing client matters.
You’ll work closely with our Centrelink specialist and Financial Advisers, building your technical knowledge while gaining hands-on experience across a range of Centrelink matters.
This could be a great next step if you’ve started your career in financial planning, worked with Centrelink, or have relevant client administration experience and are looking to develop a specialisation.
The impact you’ll have
You’ll help keep Centrelink matters moving for our clients and advice teams by:
- preparing and progressing Centrelink applications, reviews and supporting documentation;
- communicating with clients about information, documentation and application progress;
- liaising with Centrelink and other relevant stakeholders;
- maintaining accurate client records and managing allocated matters through to completion; and
- supporting the Centrelink team with systems, processes and ongoing administration.
As your knowledge develops, you’ll have the opportunity to take greater ownership of routine Centrelink matters while continuing to be supported on more complex or technical cases.
What you’ll bring
You don’t need to be a Centrelink expert or come from a financial planning background.
We’re looking for someone who brings 6-12 months of relevant experience in financial planning, Centrelink, financial services or client administration, along with:
- strong organisation and attention to detail;
- confidence communicating with clients and internal teams;
- the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow established processes; and
- an interest in developing specialist Centrelink knowledge.
Experience using PRODA, Centrelink online services, Xplan or Wealth Central would be highly regarded.
Why this is a great move
This is an opportunity to take the experience you’ve already built in financial planning and develop a genuine technical specialisation.
You’ll be supported to grow your Centrelink knowledge, work directly with clients and advisers, and build capability in an area that supports clients across our national business.
Ready to join us?
If you’re looking for your next step in financial planning and want to build a specialist career in Centrelink, we’d like to hear from you.
Apply now to join Coastal Advisory Australia.
Due to high application numbers, only successful candidates will be contacted.
