Junior / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Construction | Galway/Athlone | Career Progression

Due to continued growth, OCC Construction are seeking to appoint a Junior / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Galway/Athlone, offering excellent opportunities for career progression and development.

This role is ideal for candidates with 6 months post graduate experience looking to further develop their career within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support cost management, budgeting, and commercial reporting
  • Assist with contract administration (PWC, RIAI), valuations, and final accounts
  • Monitor project cash flow and support cost/value reconciliation
  • Assist in procurement of subcontractor packages and coordination of the supply chain
  • Evaluate and process subcontractor variations and claims
  • Attend site meetings and support subcontractor performance and compliance
  • Maintain commercial and contractual documentation

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor
  • 6 months experience post graduation (ideally within main contracting)
  • Experience with PWC and RIAI contracts desirable
  • Good understanding of subcontractor account management and commercial processes
  • Strong knowledge of Irish construction practices and regulations
  • Proficient in Excel; Cubit or similar systems an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive approach and willingness to learn
  • Full clean driving licence
