Junior Landscape Designer job opportunity

Tailor Your Resume for this Job

We are seeking a motivated Junior Landscape Designer to support high-end residential outdoor design projects within a collaborative design-build environment.

This is not a back-office drafting role. It is a true growth opportunity for an early-career designer who wants hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle — from concept development and 3D presentations through field coordination and project execution.

You will work closely with senior designers, installation teams, and clients while developing the technical, creative, and communication skills needed to grow into a Senior Designer or Design & Sales role over time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of residential landscape concepts, layouts, and outdoor living designs
  • Support the creation of 2D plans, renderings, and 3D models for client presentations
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations alongside senior design staff
  • Incorporate client feedback and design revisions with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Manage multiple design tasks and deadlines across active residential projects
  • Collaborate with field and installation teams to help ensure accurate execution of design intent
  • Gain exposure to the residential design-build sales process and how projects are presented and sold
  • Support overall project workflow, design output, and backlog management
  • Maintain organized project drawings, files, and documentation throughout all phases of work

Requirements
  • 0–3 years of experience in landscape design, landscape architecture, or a related field
  • Degree or formal training in Landscape Architecture, Design, or a comparable discipline preferred
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software
  • Interest in 3D modeling, rendering, and visual presentation development
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to engage directly with clients and team members
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in developing client-facing and consultative sales skills over time
  • Previous exposure to residential design-build environments is a plus

Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Health insurance and benefits package
  • Retirement plan options
  • Paid time off
  • Defined growth path toward a Senior Designer or Design & Sales role
  • Hands-on exposure to high-end residential projects and direct client interaction from day one
