We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Landscape Estimator to join our growing construction team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the project management process by assisting in the preparation of cost estimates for various landscape projects. Your analytical skills and eye for detail will be essential in evaluating project specifications, calculating material costs, labor, and time requirements, and ensuring that all estimates are accurate and competitive. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about landscape design and construction and is looking to develop their skills in a dynamic environment. You will have the opportunity to learn from seasoned estimators and gain hands-on experience in the field, while contributing significantly to our company's success. Responsibilities
· Assist in preparing detailed landscape cost estimates for projects.
· Collaborate with project management teams to understand project requirements.
· Evaluate material specifications and retrieve price quotes from suppliers.
· Calculate labour, overhead, and equipment costs associated with projects.
· Perform site visits to gather information for accurate estimations.
· Maintain accurate records of estimates, revisions, and project changes.
· Support senior estimator in the development of comprehensive bid proposals.
· Strengthen and grow existing customer relationships
· Make regular calls and follow-ups with Owners, subcontractors and suppliers
· Source and prospect new clients continually; conduct sales calls, including cold calls and lead and referral follow up to present product solutions and increase sales
Requirements
· Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
· 3-5 years’ experience in a construction environment
· Experience with cut/fill operations
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with estimation software.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
· Knowledge of landscape materials, processes, and installation techniques is a plus.
· Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced construction environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
