Overview

Dynamic Precision Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a machinist with at least one year of hands-on experience who is looking to grow their skills in both manual and CNC machining.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and committed to producing high-quality precision components in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup and operation of manual lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders
  • Operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes under supervision
  • Load and unload parts, change tools, and monitor machine cycles
  • Read and interpret basic technical drawings and blueprints
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
  • Deburr, clean, and finish machined parts to specification
  • Maintain proper documentation of work performed
  • Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
  • Assist senior machinists with setups, troubleshooting, and process improvements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of machining experience (manual and/or CNC)
  • Basic understanding of machining principles and shop math
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances
  • Familiarity with precision measurement tools
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred (But Not Required)

  • Vocational or technical school training in machining or manufacturing
  • Exposure to CNC programming (G-code or CAM software)
  • Experience working in a precision manufacturing environment

Pay: $20.22-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
