Job Title: Electrical LV Switchgear Estimator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical LV Switchgear Estimator to lead the preparation of accurate, competitive, and technically compliant cost estimates for low-voltage (LV) switchgear projects. The role involves managing estimation processes, coordinating with engineering and sales teams, and ensuring timely submission of high-quality bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end-to-end estimation process for LV switchgear projects.
• Review client specifications, drawings, and tender documents to determine project scope.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labour, engineering, and overheads.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to validate technical and commercial inputs.
• Analyze project risks and opportunities to optimize pricing strategies.
• Develop and maintain a database of costs, suppliers, and historical project data.
• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, BS, or local regulations).
• Participate in bid reviews, client meetings, and technical clarifications.
• Mentor and guide estimation engineers within the team.
• Continuously improve estimation tools, templates, and processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, electrical trades or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical switchgear estimation or related electrical estimation roles.
• Strong understanding of LV switchgear systems, panels, and components.
• Proven experience in handling large-scale tendering and bidding processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, ANSI, etc.).
• Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office tools (especially Excel).

Salary dependant on experience.

Pay: €50,000.00-€75,000.00 per year
