Junior Product Designer (Temp)
The Job
For a period of 6 months we are searching for a Junior Product Desginer
As a Junior Product Designer, you contribute in creating innovative design concepts that meet the briefing, reflect the brand identity and are commercially relevant to stichd business. You solve problems, create solutions, and deliver ideas during the design phase. It is also key to deliver within the set timelines. You are also required to support the wider design team as needed during periods of high workload.
Your Mission
  • You participate in the translation of product briefings into conceptual designs that are relevant to the brand’s creative direction and stichd business objectives;
  • You actively contribute in building tech-packs for the development of the collections, working closely with all stakeholders including design peers, developers, and product line managers;
  • You support the design team by taking care of the operational part of the design process. You will create color cards, adjust designs, and be responsible for the processing of designs;
  • You liaise with the Medior and Senior designers to ensure timelines are met, systems are accurately maintained, and meeting preparation is executed properly;
  • You support market, trend and industry research and assist in preparing mood boards during the concept and design phase that are relevant to the brand’s creative direction;
  • You will fully support the design team with all kinds of other supporting activities and system work;
  • You are required to maintain design overviews, update and adapt design sheets / technical drawings as needed;
  • You will prepare design boards and all relevant tools for meetings;
  • You work according to the specified timeline respecting the deadlines;
  • You maintain a high level of attention to detail and are also well organized;
  • You are able to take ownership and responsibility on a specific part of the collection, working closely with the Medior and Senior designers for support, guidance and direction;
  • You will be responsible for maintaining a tidy sample library.
Your Talent
  • Relevant Master or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion design;
  • You have 1-3 years of experience in similar position, preferably in the sports-lifestyle and / or sporting goods industry or an international organization working with global brands;
  • You have affinity with the technical side of textile / knitting and yarns;
  • Adobe Illustrator and photoshop have no secrets for you;
  • Strong feeling for the brands we work for, especially PUMA;
  • You are creative, organized, you have the ability to prioritize, you are detailed focused and can work well under time constraints and deadlines;
  • You are proactive, a self-starter that is highly motivated to work in a rapid paced environment;
  • You have a good understanding (verbally and in written) of the English language.

  • 1-year contract with option for extension to permanent contract;
  • Our salaries are based on 38 hours per week, but fulltime work is 40 hours per week. Instead, you choose between a lot of holidays; 37 per year ór choose for a 40-hour salary per month with still 25 holidays. You can switch every six months;
