Junior R&D Technician Job Description

We are seeking Junior technician to join our fast-growing team. We are a highly technical material development and manufacturing company with focus on membrane filtration technologies. We are an international company working in different markets and a wide range of applications such as water and wastewater treatment, health care, food and beverage, fuel cell and gas separation.

You will be working on different tasks and projects involving development of new materials and membranes in the lab and on the pilot line machine, order and handle chemicals and different supplies for your project, operate R&D pilot production machineries, evaluate, test and execute projects to deliver on specific targets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop membranes in the lab at small scale and perform different laboratory analysis to evaluate membranes
• Scale up to pilot production machineries and operate the machines and equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
• Provide innovative solutions to improve efficiency and to speed up development work
• Maintain machineries and equipment
• Manage all necessary work with contractors, orders and other necessary project management tasks
• Ensure meeting all required environmental, health and safety regulations
• Ensure maintaining the facility and work area safe and efficient operation

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor degree or Technician Diploma in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical or Mechanical Technician
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or R&D environment with actual hands-on experience
• "Must" be Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Previous experience in plant operations or other related field is preferred
• Familiarity with plant tools and equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree (required)

Experience:

• Laboratory and Manufacturing or R&D: 3 years (preferred)
