Sign Solutions is one of Ireland's leading signage companies, with over 27 years' experience in the design, fabrication and nationwide installation of signage for businesses across all sectors.

Our fabrication facility is based in Arklow, Co. Wicklow, where we manufacture a wide variety of custom signage, with our installation team fitting signage at client locations throughout Ireland.

The Role

We're looking for a Junior Sign Maker to join our team at our fabrication facility in Arklow.

This is a practical, hands-on role and would suit someone who enjoys making, building and working with their hands, has good attention to detail and is interested in developing their skills within the signage industry.

The main focus of the role will be sign making, fabrication, assembly and preparation within our facility. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to assist our installation team on-site from time to time, gaining experience in how different types of signage are professionally installed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assisting with the manufacture, assembly and preparation of a wide range of signage
• Working with different signage materials and components
• Using hand and power tools safely and confidently
• Working from measurements, drawings and job specifications
• Preparing and finishing signage to a high standard prior to installation
• Assisting experienced members of our fabrication team on a variety of signage projects
• Occasionally travelling with our installation team to assist with signage fitting on client sites
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Following all company quality and health & safety procedures

What We're Looking For

Previous signage experience would be an advantage, but we are also interested in candidates with a practical or trade-related background who are keen to learn and develop within the signage industry.

The successful candidate should have:

• Strong practical and hands-on ability
• Confidence using hand and power tools
• Good attention to detail and pride in their workmanship
• Ability to follow measurements, drawings and instructions accurately
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn l Ability to work well as part of a team
• A reliable and professional approach
• An awareness of workplace and on-site health & safety
• Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling Certificate, or willingness to obtain these
• Full clean driving licence preferred
