What You’ll Do

As a Junior Underwriter, you’ll work under the guidance of the Commercial Underwriting Manager and contribute to the overall success and profitability of our underwriting operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process mid-term changes and endorsement requests
• Follow up on outstanding underwriting information and subjectivities
• Respond to broker inquiries and provide expert guidance
• Assist with renewal preparation and policy maintenance
• Manage premium financing inquiries and cancellations
• Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, workflows, and service standards
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client information
• Foster strong, long-term relationships with our broker partners

Secondary Responsibilities

• Cross-sell and upsell additional insurance products
• Track and monitor service levels
• Support other departments or special projects as needed

What You Bring

• Prior experience in underwriting (preferred, but not required)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• A collaborative, team-first attitude
• Receptive to feedback and coaching
• Commitment to professional growth and learning

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,055.99-$55,027.41 per year
