Position

Country Day World School is adding a music teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The position will include teaching music enrichment classes to elementary and middle school students and assisting with Jr. Thespians and musical theater performances. This is an extraordinary opportunity for the right person who will have access to a two-story black box theater and an assortment of instruments, including ukulele, guitar, and orff. This position will allow the teacher to work closely with students in a low student to teacher ratio and collaboratively with the performing arts and enrichment teams.

Requirements

Candidates should have a strong competency in vocal coaching and K-8 music education, including instrumental instruction. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively within a team and be passionate about utilizing best practices for student learning. Professional credentials should include a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related music or arts field. A Florida Teacher Certificate eligibility and a Master’s degree is strongly preferred.

Compensation

The compensation will be commensurate with credentials and experience.
