Mō tēnei mahi | About this job
We are seeking a Kaiako to deliver the Certificate in Study & Employment Skills programme, which involves but is not limited to: developing lesson plans, presenting material to tauira (students), responding to tauira learning needs, and evaluating tauira progress. This is fixed term (until 19 December 2025) full-time (37.5hrs per week) position, which includes 4hrs one day, and 5hrs one day of face to face class delivery. This position will be based at our Māngere Campus.
Mōu | About you
The right candidate will have a passion for supporting tauira success, as well as possess strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and adaptability.
Ideally you will hold:
- A Level 5 Diploma or higher
- A Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) or equivalent, or be willing to complete this within 12 months of employment
- Full and current NZ Driver License;
- Clean Police record
- New Zealand Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy in Education (Level 5) and/or proven industry experience in professional development
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.
