Te Puni Kokiri is the government's principal policy advisor on M ori wellbeing and development. We achieve strategic influence with a focus on providing high quality policy advice and holding other agencies to account for delivering public services to, for, and with M ori. This includes our mandate to promote M ori achievement in education, training, health and economic resource development along with performing our monitoring and mentoring roles.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to further their career at Te Puni Kokiri in a Rohe that encourages the sharing of ideas, supports each other and is proactive in their approach.
Te whai w hitanga | The opportunity
Agile and supportive, kaimahi embrace a unified 'One Waikato-Waiariki' approach in their mahi. The Administrator supports the effective day to day operations of the office and the wider Rohe through,
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with our Advisors, Te Tari Matua kaimahi (National Office) and a range of stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively with other Administrators in the Rohe and supporting kaimahi in providing a professional, seamless service to the office.
- Providing a high level of administrative support to the Kaitaki -Rohe (Regional Director) and Manukura (Team Leaders).
- Managing office security and emergency procedures.
The appointment range for this role is between $60,818 and $66,900 per annum and the salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills and experience.
Mou | About you
Kaih pai are team players and great communicators who can pivot between priorities and tasks easily. We are looking for:
- Demonstrated administrative support experience, with the ability to set tasks and self-manage work.
- A high level of proficiency with the Microsoft suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ideally you can type at a minimum of 75 words per minute
- Are committed to providing a quality service to our kaimahi and external stakeholders
- Are comfortable working in a te ao M ori environment, and comfortable in situations where tikanga is observed.
