About this role
Kairuruku are part of a team accountable for the national management and support of the assigned Foundation Education and Vocations programme(s) through providing ongoing, needs-based support of kaiako, kaitiaki and all relevant stakeholders.
Role details:
Title: Kairuruku – Foundation Education and Vocations
Role: Permanent full time
Location: Te Awamutu
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Days: Monday - Friday
As an Kairuruku – Foundation Education and Vocations, you will:
- Contribute to marketing strategy and ensure accuracy of all relevant material within required timeframes
- Work with Procurement to secure all resources as required
- Plan and deliver curriculum and assessment training on a regular and an as-needs basis
- Provide programme training sessions for the kaiako, Manager Education Delivery and Lead Education Delivery in Takiwā (Regional Level)
- Monitor that assessment tasks and assessment delivery meet required standards and moderation specifications
About you:
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- Masters of Bachelors or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline
- NZ Certificate in Adult & Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) (or equivalent)
- NZ Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education (Level 5)
- NZ Certificate in Assessment Practice (Level 4)
- At least 5 years’ experience in the NZ education sector and at least 5 years’ teaching experience
- Prepared to increase knowledge, understanding and everyday use of te reo and āhuatanga Māori and support other kaimahi in the same endeavour
- Full clean New Zealand Drivers Licence
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
