Kairuruku – Home Based Learning (Hbl)

About this role

Kairuruku Home-Based Learning are accountable for the national management of the assigned programme(s) through various forms of distance education, providing ongoing, needs-based support to Kaitiaki, Kaiaromatawai and all relevant stakeholders.

Role details:

Title: Kairuruku - Home Based Learning
Role: Permanent full time
Location: Te Awamutu
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Days: Monday - Friday

As an Kairuruku - Home Based Learning, you will:

• Contribute to marketing strategy and ensure accuracy of all relevant material within required timeframes
• Implement agreed strategies to address potential issues or performance problems
• Plan and deliver curriculum and assessment training on a regular and an as-needs basis
• Provide programme training sessions for stakeholders as required
• Maintain monitoring and audit standards in accordance with requirements.

About you:

We are looking for someone who has the following:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline
• A professional teaching registration (if required)
• At least 5 years’ experience in the NZ education sector and at least 5 years’ teaching experience
• Prepared to increase knowledge, understanding and everyday use of te reo and āhuatanga Māori and support other kaimahi in the same endeavour
• Full clean New Zealand Drivers Licence

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
