We are looking for a second Senior Advisor to appoint to our Otepoti office.

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity
As a Senior Advisor you will be the champion and promoter of the Te Puni Kokiri investment strategy to enable better outcomes for M ori. Working alongside and supporting your colleagues across Te Waipounamu region you will form enduring relationships while understanding the context of your region. This includes:
- Supporting the region to deliver on the work programme
- Supporting the Regional Director and Team Leader to build a strong presence for Te Puni Kokiri in the region to support the implementation of Government policies
- Provide mentoring and coaching to Advisors within the region
- Manage the flow of information between M ori and the Policy puni for programme evaluation\Manage local level provider contracts including reporting and funding approvals
The salary range of this role is $104k - $115k per annum however this will be determined by the successful candidate's skills and experience relevant to this role.
Ko wai koe | About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following essential skills:
- Have strong relationships in Otago with Ngai Tahu Papatipu Runanga and Ng Maata waka communities and an ability to actively manage significant relationships, to value diverse perspectives and experiences.
- Currently live in Otago within daily commuting distance to the regional office in Otepoti-Dunedin from Monday to Friday.
- Have experience working with Wh nau, Hapu, Iwi, M ori organisations and communities.
- Have a high level of understanding of the Machinery of Government, public service and the public sector processes that ensure impartiality of all Public Servants.
- Have an understanding of The Treaty of Waitangi and Te Tiriti o Waitangi and recognise the importance of the Treaty-Te Tiriti from both M ori and Crown perspectives.
- A level of competency in te reo M ori, or a willingness to learn.
- Clean full drivers licence.
- Are comfortable working in a te ao M ori environment and a kaupapa M ori environment.
