He angitūtanga: The opportunity
The Tūpuna Maunga o Tāmaki Makaurau Authority (Tūpuna Maunga Authority) is the statutory authority established under the Ngā Mana Whenua o Tāmaki Makaurau Collective Redress Act to co-govern the Tūpuna Maunga. The Tūpuna Maunga Authority is comprised of equal representatives from Ngā Mana Whenua o Tāmaki Makaurau and Auckland Council.
The Kaituitui Kaupapa – Events and Activations Advisor role is within the Pūtātara / Communications and Engagement team within the Tūpuna Maunga Authority reporting to Te Pūtātara Waka Tairanga Whenua / Manager Co-Governance Communications and Engagement. Delivery includes events and activations, champions relationships with Mana Whenua partners, supports communications and marketing of events, supports the new business development portfolio, and communicates and engages with internal and external stakeholders, and the wider community to deliver the operational programme across the Tūpuna Maunga network.
This is an opportunity to be involved in an exciting work programme in a co-governance environment in preparation for a world heritage bid.
He kōrero mōu: About you
You are a strategic thinker and natural communicator. You have a strong understanding of Te Ao Māori and are comfortable with the use of Te Reo Māori. You can communicate the values of the Tūpuna Maunga to a diverse audience. You have a background in events, business, tourism, communications and/or engagement and are well organised. You can plan, organise, and manage events and tasks of varying size and scale. You have strong writing skills and can contribute to reports, communication and marketing plans and providing public information. You are a positive team member and thrive in a high-performance environment.
