Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care for pets in our facility. As a Kennel Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the animals under our care while maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Duties

• Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding and exercising.
• Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks.
• Assist with animal handling during check-ins, check-outs.
• Monitor the behavior and health of animals
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and well-being.
• Engage in heavy lifting when necessary, including moving supplies or larger animals.
• Assist the Kennel Manager in all daily tasks

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following skills:

• Dog training experience
• Veterinary experience (technician or assistant)
• Previous kennel experience
• Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
• Experience in pet grooming or pet sitting
• Strong background in animal care and customer service

Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift heavy objects as part of their daily responsibilities. A passion for animal welfare is essential for success in this role.
