Mulrines, established in 1919, is a producer of high-quality juice and beverage products for retail, wholesale, and foodservice customers across Ireland and the UK. With over a century of experience, Mulrines employs a highly motivated workforce of more than 220 people, operating across three sites, including our headquarters in Donegal, Sion Mills, and our orchards in Kildare.
About Role:
The Key Account Manager will spend time with all functional managers to gain an understanding of structures and procedures. From purchasing to planning, finance, production, quality and logistics, you will have exposure to all these functions to gain an in-depth knowledge of the business, our products and processes. You will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with current and new customers, anticipating their needs and driving sales and profitability for Mulrines. You will be a key part of the Commercial Team and the role will have focus on the Retail, Foodservice and Wholesale market in GB & ROI. This role will involve and require occasional travel across UK & ROI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow Key relationships within Retail, Foodservice and Wholesale customers in GB & ROI
- Achieve sales targets and KPIs as defined by management
- Develop trusting relationships with Key customers and ensure they are managed effectively in order to retain and grow their business.
- Deal with customer issues as they arise, ensuring swift resolution for the customer.
- Work cross functionally with all departments to ensure customer needs can be met.
- Understand the monthly/annual requirements of the customer and raise issues internally through the monthly Sales meetings.
- Learn the Company’s pricing methods and understand how new clients are established and existing client’s contracts are renewed.
- Gather, report and communicate customer feedback on service, product and delivery.
- Attend relevant trade shows to promote and sell the Company’s brands and products and gain new customers.
- Responsible for relevant annual contract renewals.
- Get involved in market research and new product development projects.
- Conduct market research to improve our offer and match competitors where relevant.
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
- Previous Sales experience in Key Account Management in FMCG
- Willingness to occasional travel in GB & ROI and the ability to work independently
- Strong communication and negotiations skills with a customer centric approach
- Results oriented mindset, highly numeric and the ability to interpret data/costs
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Rapport and relationship building is key
- Service orientated, polite, friendly and diplomatic
- Ability to generate ideas and identify new opportunities
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task
- Computer literate, Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook, Skype, Zoom
- Full UK/Irish driving license
Desirable:
- Experience in the Retail, Foodservice and Wholesale channels in GB & ROI
- 3rd Level qualification in Business / Marketing

About Mulrines
P Mulrine & Sons was established in 1919. Originally located just off Main Street Ballybofey with a workforce of 4 people, the company specialised in the production and distribution of soft drinks and bottled beer.
In 1971 P Mulrines & Sons Sales was established, and a new plant was opened on the Donegal Road which offered greater opportunities to the local people for employment with numbers increasing to around 80 people at the site
With the period of growth that followed our first Tetra Pak fillers were introduced in 1982.
An independent fourth generation family business the Company has grown steadily over the years. As a family business we are very proud of our local heritage and of the loyal workforce we have generated here in Ballybofey and the surrounding area, currently employing over 250 people across all sites.
