Our flagship location in Bridgeland is hiring! FivePoint is independently owned and operated. Canada’s first cannabis gallery supports local art through in-store displays, social media features and limited-edition cannabis accessories. FivePoint quietly unlocked their door and opened for business on August 8, 2019.

The Job Description:

A Key Holder opens and closes the store and performs both customer service and other administrative duties in a retail setting. Their main duties include providing top tier cannabis service, ensuring the store is organized, neat and tidy and ensuring the alarm system is working properly. Other duties include assisting management with day-to-day tasks as delegated. This position reports to management.

Essential Functions

• You exemplify FivePoint culture by being friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive to guests. Use of sales techniques, customer service and retention, and cannabis knowledge is a must.
• Assist with maintaining and monitoring store inventory levels, ensuring proper cash is accounted for, restocking as needed.
• Lead tours of sales floor, making product recommendations based on the science of cannabis, listening attentively to the guests experience and needs.
• Ensure online orders are properly bagged and waiting for the guests arrival
• Handle unforeseen situations and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
• Continuously increasing their knowledge of cannabis strains and forms (flower, edibles, concentrates etc.) and cannabis accessories for sale in the store
• Accurately record and process orders into the Point-of-Sale (POS) system
• Check identification of guests to verify they are of legal age to purchase cannabis
• Provide outstanding, accurate customer service to patrons by answering or appropriately directing questions and concerns.
• Get to know your guests and regulars. Actively make notes about each guest and ensure they receive personalized service.
• Adhere to opening and closing duties
• Work as part of a team to ensure sales, guest satisfaction and compliance goals are met by designated timelines
• Adhere to company dress code and policy and maintain all provided necessary equipment.
• Follow all FivePoint rules, guidelines, and policy when performing daily responsibilities to support all areas
• Opening and closing the store.
• Managing the store’s security alarm system, including ensuring the alarm is in perfect condition, enabling it and disabling it when necessary.
• Protecting the alarm code and keys given to them.
• Making sure that the store is always clean and properly organized, including back of house and the safe.
• Ensuring discounts and returns are properly accounted for.
• Inventory management, including restocking and inventory.
• Filling in for the store manager when required
• All other job duties as assigned by the Store Manager

Qualifications Required

• 2+ years’ experience in a retail, hospitality or customer service position preferred
• Must be 18 years of age and hold a valid Qualified Cannabis Worker Designation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Basic reading, math, and writing skills required
• Ability to make meaningful relationships with guests
• Strong communication and time management skills required
• Able to manage multiple tasks at a time
• Cannabis experience an asset. An interest in learning about cannabis is a must.
• Bright, jovial attitude with a willingness and excitement to work in the cannabis industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $18 per hour with sales incentives, free samples, invites to industry events, a solid staff discount, art sales incentives in the gallery space, and coffee and snacks provided.

Expected hours: 30 – 38 per week
