Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a Kitchen Helper to assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen. The Kitchen Helper will be responsible for essential tasks that keep our kitchen running smoothly, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, organising supplies, and taking out garbage. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a team environment, values cleanliness and order, and is looking to support a fast-paced kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

• Dishwashing: Wash, dry, and store all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans in a timely manner.
• Cleaning: Clean kitchen surfaces, including countertops, floors, walls, and equipment.
• Waste Management: Take out trash, recycling, and compost, and ensure waste disposal areas are kept clean and organized.
• Organisation: Assist with organizing and stocking kitchen supplies, utensils, and equipment.
• Assisting the Team: Support kitchen staff with additional tasks as needed, such as basic food prep, carrying supplies, or helping set up/clean up workstations.
• Following Safety and Hygiene Standards: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.

What we are looking for

• Previous experience as a kitchen helper or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene practices.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle occasional lifting.

Working Conditions

• This position involves working in a kitchen environment where temperatures may vary.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
