Balgownie Estate Resort & Spa in the beautiful Yarra Valley Wine region are seeking a Casual Kitchen Attendant to join our team.

The Role:

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas, including counters, sinks, and storage areas.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment and utensils according to established procedures.
• Dispose of waste and manage recycling according to environmental and health regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes under the guidance of chefs or kitchen supervisors.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels of crockery, chemicals, storage containers and supplies.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including personal hygiene, handwashing, and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure that all food items are stored at appropriate temperatures and handle food in a safe manner to prevent contamination.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
