About the Position

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Kitchen Chef to join our team in Rathcoole.

You will be responsible for preparing fresh, tasty and family-friendly food for children, parents and staff. This is a hands-on role within a busy indoor play centre, so we are looking for someone who can work efficiently while maintaining excellent standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing a range of meals, light bites and snacks
• Creating food options suitable for children and families
• Supporting menu planning and introducing new food ideas
• Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
• Managing food storage, stock rotation and kitchen supplies
• Keeping the kitchen, preparation areas and equipment clean and organised
• Monitoring stock and assisting with food orders
• Taking care when preparing food for allergies and dietary requirements
• Preparing food for busy periods, children's parties and group bookings
• Working closely with the wider Kidspace team to provide a positive experience for customers

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen
• Food safety/hygiene training is an advantage
• Good knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload
• Good organisation and time-management skills
• Comfortable working in a busy environment
• Friendly and professional approach
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility to work weekends and busy periods
• Experience in a family, leisure or high-volume setting would be beneficial
