Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared, organized, and delivered to customers efficiently and accurately. This position requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service, as you will be the vital link between the kitchen staff and the front-of-house team.

Duties

• Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and dining area to ensure timely delivery.
• Assist in food preparation, ensuring that all dishes meet quality standards before serving.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting station, including food handling areas.
• Communicate effectively with cooks and servers to relay order details and special requests.
• Monitor food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Help with bussing tables as needed to maintain a smooth flow of service during busy periods.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or special requests from guests.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on helping guests have an enjoyable experience.
• Knowledge of food handling and food safety practices is essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in food preparation or cooking is a plus but not mandatory.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
