Description:
Excite the children with your food wizardry – inspiring them to be curious and intrigued by all types of fruits and vegetables!

At Green Leaves Early Learning, we take pride in building a learning environment where children are inspired to be curious about taste and flavour. Working closely with the Centre Chef, each day you can:

• Use your extraordinary culinary skills to support the Centre Chef in preparing a wide variety of nutritious meals and purees, as well as working to dietary requirements for babies and children
• Greet our wonderful families with a big, warm, friendly smile each day, and wow them with your barista-made coffees and freshly baked treats (Barista training provided if required.
• Provide thoughtful culinary classes alongside our Centre Chef and Educators
• Ensure the highest level of food safety by maintaining a clean and safe kitchen in accordance with the Food and Council Authority requirements and Green Leaves Early Learning Standards
• Collaborate with our National Nutritional Program Partner, with a focus on environmentally sustainable practices within our eco-friendly settings
• Combine your amazing time management and communication skills to support the kitchen in running each day smoothly.

About You:

• Current Food Safety Certificate
• Current and State-relevant Working with Children's Check
• Current Child Protection and National Child Safety Training Certificates
• Current First Aid and CPR (HLTAID012)
• National Police Clearance obtained in the last 6 months
• Availability to work 20-25 hours per week

The willingness to step up into the Chef’s role when they are absent from the Centre from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
