Job Title: Kitchen Porter
Location: The Quays Bar & Restaurant, Galway
Employment Type: Full-time and Part-time positions available

The Quays Bar & Restaurant Galway is seeking reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porters to join our busy kitchen team.

The successful candidates will support the chefs and kitchen team by maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment during prep and service.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment
• Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy, and well organised
• Support chefs with basic food preparation where required
• Assist with deliveries, stock rotation, and waste management
• Maintain food hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety standards
• Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not essential
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
