Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, assembling, and plating ingredients efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Support cooking processes under supervision, ensuring food is prepared according to safety standards and recipes.
- Handle food handling tasks with care to ensure freshness and safety in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and transactions.
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishes to support smooth service flow during busy periods.
- Contribute to banquet setups and catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with presentation.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and deliver excellent guest services in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards is highly desirable.
- Experience with cooking, food preparation, or kitchen operations enhances your fit for this role.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude are vital for collaborating with team members and serving guests effectively.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
