Canadian Adventure Camp is a full-service children’s summer camp located on beautiful Adventure Island- 160 private acres in the heart of Lake Temagami, Ontario. Each summer, we welcome 150 campers ages 7–17, along with staff from across the globe, to enjoy over 35 camp activities and 4 specialty programs.

The kitchen is the heart of our camp community. It’s where everyone comes together three times a day, and our campers and staff alike look forward to the warm smiles and great meals prepared by our kitchen team. As a member of the kitchen staff, you’ll play a vital role in creating the family atmosphere that makes CAC so special.

When you’re off-duty, you’ll have the chance to enjoy all that camp has to offer- try kayaking, climbing, waterskiing, or even test your skills in the gym!

Responsibilities

• Work with the Executive Chef to prepare and serve meals family-style.
• Complete daily prep tasks efficiently and safely.
• Assist with dishwashing and cleaning to maintain a sanitary kitchen.
• Properly store, rotate, and restock food items.
• Adhere to health & safety expectations
• Be a positive, friendly presence in the dining hall and wider camp community.

Qualifications/ Experience

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• 2+ years experience as a Cook in the Hospitality industry preferred
• Food Handlers Certificate preferred
• Ability to read, follow & correctly execute standardized recipes
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced kitchen atmosphere

Job Details

• Compensation: $750/week.
• Perks: Full room & board, comprehensive training, and a summer full of adventure.
• Dates: June 19 - Aug 28, 2026.
• Must be 19+ years old.
• Staff live on-site for the duration of the contract on our island camp.
