We are hiring General Operatives for our Pre-Treatment Process

Architectural & Metal Systems Ltd. is Ireland’s only independently owned manufacturer of extruded aluminium profiles. We specialise in aluminium extrusion, powder coated aluminium and sheet metal fabrication as well as providing many other services from our vast 400,000 sq. ft. facility. AMS also supply a wide range of thermally efficient aluminium windows, door, and other commercial systems to various industries globally. The company’s business divisions include standard engineering products, architectural glazing systems, curtain walling architectural paint finishes, anodising and a bespoke aluminium design & extrusions service.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: €15.37 - €15.96 per hour + 12.5% shift allowance

Schedule Availability

• 13-hour shifts
• 3 day week: Mon-Wed/Thur-Sat (alternating every 3 weeks)
• Hours: 6:00am - 19:00pm
• Overtime available on additional days (Subject to availability - not guaranteed)
• NOTE: Day Shift - Monday- Friday is required for initial training.

Ability to commute:

· Travel to and from Little Island

Key Requirements

• Previous experience within the Industrial sector desirable (Not Essential)
• Hard working with a can-do attitude
• Ability to work on own with good time management skills
• Good eye for quality and attention to detail
• Previous lab / pre treatment experience desirable
• Must be eligible to work in Ireland

Key Responsibilities

• Working to maintain high quality treatment and products through Qualicoat/Qualinod standards
• Pre-Treating Aluminium to be coated by either Powder Coating or Anodising through cascade or immersion processes
• Managing the Effluent Treatment Processes
• Quality checks & testing
• Working with chemicals (Training and PPE provided)
• Laboratory testing of pretreatment chemicals: pH, conductivity, temperature, concentrations, coatings weights and more
• Routine maintenance and cleaning using machines & hand tools.
• Working in an industrial environment
• Good house keeping and paperwork/record management
• Liaising with the Manager and other team members as well as other department members
• All Training is provided for this role
