Laboratory Project Coordinator (18-Month Contract)

In this 100% onsite role, you will provide oversight of selected lab-related processes via day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of activities coordination and reporting and run initial investigations for lab platforms and tests implementation.

In more details, you will…

  • Provide oversight and drive the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of projects assigned
    • Create and maintain detailed project plans
    • Report project status to team, management, and stakeholders through regular status reports, management reports and communications meetings
    • Track project issues and ensure appropriate resolution working closely with the project, peers, and laboratory management team.
    • Hold formal project reviews with management to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction
    • Capture and maintain record of resources needed, monitor execution, ensure risks registration and building mitigation to ensure efficient and successful project completion
  • Assist the laboratory management team in the following aspects of project planning and monitoring
    • Project scope, change control processes, planning and resources allocation
    • Project monitoring and status updates
    • Project risks tracking and escalation as appropriate
  • Effectively work with a diverse group of team members from the CLS and IT

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management

  • Confront issues openly and effectively Monitor, track, manage and ensure resolution of customer complaints, issues and concerns

  • Effective and timely adherence to management communications, meetings and procedures

  • Perform such duties as Lab PMO management may direct

What we’re looking for

Laboratory Project Coordinators are the most successful at Labcorp with:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or related field, preferred Master Degree or PhD

  • One to Three (1-3) years of project management experience with one or more (1+) years of experience in project coordination in regulated environment: laboratory, research, or technical; experience in systems/process development or systems/process implementation is an advantage

  • Fluency in English and intermediate level in French

  • Exposure to laboratory instruments or processes, their functionality, and lifecycle

  • Exposure to regulatory standards and quality systems applicable to clinical laboratories (e.g. CAP, IVDR, ISO 19025)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing reports and presenting updates

  • Ability to facilitate productive meetings with management and teams

  • Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams (lab staff, management, project stakeholders)

  • Strong attention to detail for managing multiple tasks and priorities

  • Experience in working with large datasets and creating analytical reports

  • Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines under pressure

  • Flexibility to adapt to dynamic project demands

  • Demonstrated a high degree of initiative and ability to work collaboratively

  • Proven track record of successful project monitoring
