If you are already working as a labourer or machine operator, this is an opportunity for you to enjoy 40 guaranteed hours per week for at least 4.5 years. This is secure work that is not dependant on the season or on individual projects. There is also a great variety in your daily work locations and in day to day activities. One day you might be working on a weather related response, the next you might be cutting and spreading aggregate and all in different scenic outdoor locations around the Thames Coromandel road network.

Ventia are the biggest Transport Infrastructure services organisation in Australia and New Zealand and there will be many opportunities for a high performer to direct their career path into other areas within the wider Transport business. The role is based in Thames, but covers the greater Coromandel area. If you enjoy working and travelling independently outdoors in beautiful locations with support and connection to a wider team, this role is for you. No experience is necessary, just a great work ethic and a positive attitude.
The Thames Coromandel road network has relatively low volumes, and when you combine this with the strong health and safety culture that is promoted in Ventia, you can be confident that you are working in a safe environment. You will also be working alongside friendly, experienced and supportive colleagues who will share their knowledge with you and support you in your training and career development.
- Wheels Tracks and Rollers Ticket
- Class 1 DL minimum, Class 2 preferred
- Previous experience in the infrastructure or construction industry
- Previous experience operating relevant machinery - excavators etc.
