Laebon Homes has an opportunity to join its Construction team as a Labourer/ Apprentice Carpenter.

The candidate must work well with peers as well as trades and suppliers. Preference will be given to candidates with past residential or commercial construction experience.

Job Summary:

As a Labourer/ Apprentice Carpenter, you will be working with our team throughout Central Alberta on the construction of single-family and multi-family homes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Includes, but not limited to the following:

  • General carpentry tasks such as back framing
  • General construction duties
  • Turn over prep for possessions
  • Quality control from start to finish
  • Help with trade partner inquiries throughout the build
  • Site cleanup as required
  • Follow all company safety protocols
  • Complete safety inspections

Job Qualifications:

  • 1st or 2nd year apprentice in carpentry would be an asset
  • Residential or commercial construction experience would be an asset
  • Strong work ethic with a positive “can do” attitude
  • Knowledge of residential construction and the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Work independently and as part of a team on day-to-day tasks and projects.
  • Detail oriented and goal driven.
  • Willingness/ability to do physically demanding work
  • Must have a valid drivers license and own transportation
  • Will need basic hand tools (hammer, tape measure, drill, saws etc.)
