Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Real Estate, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program management.
- Experience with any of the following: land acquisition, site selection for high-technology, industrial-scale real estate projects, or real estate evaluation and development.
- Experience driving agreement negotiations and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to travel as needed within the APAC region.
- Experience in data center, real estate or infrastructure development.
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other real estate analysis tools.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment for real estate development in the APAC.
- Ability to work separately and collaborate in a fluid environment.
- Ability to build consensus and influence stakeholders.
- Passion towards Google's mission and a commitment to excellence.
The Global Acquisition and Development Team is a critical component of Google's Cloud Infrastructure organization. We are responsible for the strategic acquisition and pre-development of real estate to support the rapid expansion of Google's global data center footprint.
As a Land Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in securing and pre-positioning real estate for Google's data centers across APAC. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of land acquisition and pre-development projects from initial site identification and due diligence to negotiation and closing. You will work with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Community Engagement to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities
- Drive the strategic acquisition and pre-development of land across the APAC portfolio, ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery while upholding exceptional quality standards. Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, regulatory bodies, and community organizations to facilitate seamless project.
- Conduct thorough due diligence, negotiate complex agreements, and manage all aspects of real estate transactions.
- Identify and evaluate potential data center sites, consider factors such as infrastructure availability, regulatory environment, and community impact.
- Develop and implement best practices for land acquisition and pre-development, proactively identify and mitigate associated risks.
- Provide regular updates on project status and performance to the APAC Director and other key stakeholders.
