Terms of Employment: Part Time
Wednesdays 1:00-7:00 pm in Lowe Farm
Thursday & Fridays 9:00 am – 5:00 pm in Rosenort
Saturdays 9:00 am – 3:00 pm in Lowe Farm
Wednesday to Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm in Rosenort
Saturdays 9:00 am – 3:00 pm in Lowe Farm
Date of Employment: As soon as possible
Location: Lowe Farm & Rosenort Landfills
Qualifications:
· Valid Class 5 License to be able to operate equipment onsite, skid steer & compactor as required to maintain the landfill site
· Ability to lift/carry 50+ lbs for periods of time to move material/ organize materials onsite
· Ability to climb & check loads in garbage containers/ trucks
· Ability to walk on uneven surfaces & around heavy equipment/ traffic.
· Basic mechanical and maintenance aptitude (grease equipment, check oil & filters, clean out tracks to prevent damages)
· Ability to get to work in adverse weather
· Reading, writing, oral communication skills
· High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
· Ability to obtain Landfill Operators License
· Clear criminal record check
Salary: $28.53/hr during probation - $29.53/hr after probation for 2026 & $0.50 premium upon completion of Landfill Operator Certification.
This is a unionized position.
