Business Development Manager: Landscape Services & Supply Division

Location: Charles Town, WV: Cornerstone Lawn Services

Status: Full-Time | Performance-Based Salary | PTO | Flexible Schedule

Cornerstone Lawn Services is rapidly expanding, and we are looking for a powerhouse Business Development Manager to bridge the gap between our elite service teams and our growing retail supply division.

You aren’t just a salesperson; you are a Strategic Partner for our clients. One day you’ll be pitching a massive commercial maintenance contract to an HOA; the next, you’ll be helping a local contractor outfit their entire crew with Echo power tools and Bradley commercial mowers. Your Core Responsibilities1. Service Expansion (The "Hunter")

  • Strategic Sales: Identify and secure high-value contracts in both the residential and commercial landscape maintenance sectors.
  • Partnership Building: Forge long-term alliances with property managers, developers, and HOA boards, turning "leads" into "lifetime partners."
  • The Perfect Handoff: Collaborate seamlessly with our Landscape and Hardscape Foremen to ensure the vision you sell is executed with 100% precision.

2. Supply Division Leadership (The "Expert")

  • Contractor Concierge: Act as the primary point of contact for local contractors, providing expert quotes on hardscape materials (paver systems, wall blocks) and bulk materials.
  • Equipment Sales: Drive the sale of our premium inventory, including tractors, Echo power products, and Bradley commercial mowers.
  • Large-Scale Projects: Manage and quote "Big Ticket" retail items, including Sheds, Playgrounds, and specialized maintenance equipment for local organizations.

  • Unwavering Attendance: Our clients and contractors operate on tight deadlines. To succeed, you must be present, active, and reachable every single day that we are open for business.
  • Reliable Transportation: This role requires significant travel throughout the Eastern Panhandle and Northern Virginia. A reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license are non-negotiable requirements.
  • Passionate Drive: We want someone who is hungry to grow our footprint and isn't satisfied with "good enough."

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven Track Record: 3+ years in Sales or Business Development (Landscaping, Construction, or Industrial Equipment experience is a huge plus).
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with landscape equipment (Tractors, Mowers, Handhelds) and hardscape materials is preferred.
  • Master Communicator: You must be outgoing, energetic, and able to deliver compelling presentations that close deals.
  • Organizational Mastery: Ability to manage a complex sales pipeline, from small equipment quotes to multi-year service contracts.
