FLSA Status: Hourly - Non-Exempt
Work-site: Field/Work Location Varies/Changes Daily
Reports to: Field Supervisor and Operations Manager

Summary:
The Landscape Construction Foreman must possess a positive can-do work ethic, be an eager learner, be conscious of safety requirements, work effectively as a team member, dress appropriately, be punctual, and be able to perform numerous landscape and/or irrigation tasks with minimal supervision while overseeing a crew of two to four employees.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Properly and safely operates hand tools and equipment such as compact skid loaders, skid steers, trenchers, compactors, saws, rototillers, etc.
Able to perform basic level preventative maintenance on equipment above and maintain to standard; oil changes, check fluid levels, check tire pressure, etc.
Install all aspects of an irrigation system, landscape job and hardscape with minimal supervision from the Field Supervisor.
Promotes a safe work environment, and reports and documents any / all unsafe conditions or accidents.
Able to read plans, order materials and layout job sites, and fill out and process all necessary job paperwork, purchase orders and time sheets.
Meets or exceeds company production standards for landscape and irrigation installation.
Able to work with minimal supervision from the Field Supervisor.
Able to operate a transit and properly grade a site.
Able to interact with clients in a professional and competent manner.
Able to supervise and train crew members and maintain a high level of morale.
Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed to support organizational needs.
Preferred Education, Work Experience & Skills:
Ability to manage a number of administrative tasks, including completing all necessary paperwork and documentation.
Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a landscape crew.
Minimum 4 years field landscape experience.
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Must have reliable transportation, and be insurable on the company's insurance policy.
Able to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner on a daily basis.
Possesses excellent woodworking skills.
Firm understanding of landscape products.
Physical Requirements:
Physically able to handle the workload of a Lead Landscape Installer.
Must be able to carry up to 50 Ibs.
Must be able to talk, listen, write and speak clearly in person, and by phone/tablet, as needed.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting standards specified in job description and through performance management.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Must be able to be physically present at work during operating hours.
Work Environment:
Exposure to typical Colorado climate including conditions such as extreme heat & cold and inclement weather, dust & dirt, loud noises, uneven work surfaces & trenches. Located at but not limited to, busy streets, residential and commercial locations. PPE & proper hazard controls will be provided.
Compensation:
DOE: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
