Job Requirements: All Terra Opus Group staff members need to be prepared to attend our Mount Albert yard location at 630am Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

• Be held accountable for the quality of their work, show attention to detail and to work at all times with efficiency.
• Submit purchase orders and invoices daily to be reconciled.
• Read, interpret, and implement Dynascape/CAD designs
• Have a professional understanding of grading, retaining wall and interlock path/patio construction, natural stone installation - both wet and dry lay, concrete work, machinery operation, landscape lighting, irrigation, basic carpentry, etc.
• Pool installation experience a considerable asset.
• Spread top soil; lay sod; plant flowers, grass, shrubs and trees; and perform other duties to assist in the maintenance and construction of landscapes
• Follow all health & safety regulations and enforce compliance with crew members, including wearing appropriate protective equipment and following Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for safe handling of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides and other dangerous chemicals;
• Clean working areas and maintain tools and equipment.

Tools & Equipment:

• Heavy machinery operation, skid steers, excavators, Dingo, muck-trucks, etc.
• Tampers, quick cuts, hedge shears, sod cutters, pruning saws, cut-off saws, mowing equipment, string & bush trimmers, power blowers, rototillers, etc.
• Hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hammers, wheelbarrows, picks, pruning shears, handheld and hose-end sprayers, saws, soil cultivators, water sprinklers, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Reading: WHMIS labels, equipment manuals, complete logs and incident reports, job instructions and procedures

• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 60 per week
