Enhancement Foreman – V.I.L. Landscaping (Oakville, ON)
Full-time | + performance bonuses | Growth-minded culture | Career path to Project Manager
About V.I.L. Landscaping
V.I.L. Landscaping is one of the GTA’s fastest-growing landscape design-build companies — building world-class outdoor spaces across Oakville, Burlington, and the west GTA.
Our Enhancement Division is where craftsmanship meets speed — we handle all the small-to-mid-size upgrades that keep our clients’ properties at that world-class standard year-round.
If you’re a versatile leader who can move fast, manage chaos, and deliver beautiful results — this is your arena.
About the Role
The Enhancement Foreman runs multiple small, high-value jobs each week — from garden makeovers to patio extensions, lighting, cleanups, and seasonal upgrades.
You’ll lead a small crew (1-3 team members), manage your own truck and trailer, and take full ownership for delivering quality, efficiency, and profitability on every project.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
- Complete enhancement and light construction jobs ($2K–$25K range) including:
- Fall & spring cleanups, mulch and planting installs
- Garden and lawn renovations
- Light interlock work: curbing, walkways, coping, extensions
- Small carpentry: framing, skirting, planters, pergolas
- Lighting, edging, and softscape finishing work
Crew & Workflow Management
- Plan and execute daily workflows — labor, material, and equipment
- Manage crew assignments, load-outs, and jobsite efficiency
- Coordinate material deliveries and dumps with yard and office
- Track estimated vs. actual hours; hit job targets consistently
Quality & Brand Standards
- Keep all job sites spotless — no debris, tools, or clutter left behind
- Ensure trucks, trailers, and equipment represent the V.I.L. standard
- Communicate clearly with clients, office, and field support
- Submit daily forms, photos, and job completion updates
What World-Class Looks Like
You…
- Thrive in fast-moving, high-pressure environments
- Can lay pavers and plant trees — and love both
- Know how to manage moving parts without losing your cool
- See problems before they happen — and fix them without being asked
- Respect materials, hours, and client experience like cash
- Lead from the front and bring energy to your crew every day
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years in landscaping, construction, or enhancement work
- Strong understanding of both hardscape and softscape techniques
- Skilled with skid steers, plate compactors, saws, and trailers
- Confident driving a truck + dump trailer
- Valid G license with clean abstract (D license an asset)
- Comfortable reading scopes, sketches, or plans
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather
Compensation & Growth
- Hourly Wage: $27–$35/hr based on experience
- Bonus: up to 10% of gross profit per job based on performance
- Overtime Pay and Year-End Bonus potential
- Full-time, year-round work (landscaping + snow operations)
